11) Amazon.com, Sony.comAmazon’s Kindle has a robust feature set, particularly when it comes to connectivity. Even the most basic Kindle comes with WiFi, while the Kindle 3G has “free” 3G service (the cost of delivering the content is included in the price). This means that you’ll be able to easily purchase new books while on the go, or re-download books that you already purchased but have since discarded.
Sony only offers WiFi and free 3G with its Daily Edition, which is the most expensive model. This is a serious downside for a gadget that’s supposed to replace books, as it means fooling around with yet another cable and yet more syncing software.
The Kindle offers superior built-in memory, at four gigabytes. The Sony Readers offer half that, but some have superior support for memory upgrades. The Daily Edition, for example, can support Memory Stick Duo and SD Cards up to 32GB.
Battery life is great on both devices, although generally better on the Kindle, which can last for over a month if the WiFi is off. With that said however, even the Sony Readers can generally be used for weeks between charges.

Internet Exercises page 165

1)          Sure thing. Netflix offers a bounty for new subscribers. It's mentioned on the top page of http://developer.netflix.com , and full details are on http://www.netflix.com/Affiliates . Some folks putting together applications will put a bright, shiny "Join Netflix" button on them and get a bit of extra pocket money courtesy of your favorite Movie Streaming and DVD rental business. We're looking to move to a different affiliate program in a few weeks, but folks signed up under the existing program should still get credit for the time being.

(and yes, if you're curious, most of the Netflix pop-ups are from affiliates. There's a clause in the agreement (paragraph 4.2) that boils down to "thou shalt not use pop-overs, spyware, or anything else we tell you to replace." It's a bit like playing whack-a-mole, though, but if we see 'em, we usually tell you to quit it.)

2)          Customer Insights groups collect customer and mraket information from a wide varitety of ssource, ranging from traditional mraketing reseach studies to mingling with and observing consumers to monitoring consumer online conversationabout compant and its product.
Then they use this information to develop important customer insights from which the company can create more value for its customers.

3)        It provide the same as any other web page, like amazon.com overstock.com to me.

4)        The 10 keys items are affiliate marketing, pop-under ads, pop-up ads, permission advertising and permission marketing ,mobile advertising's, random banner, conversion rate ,viral marketing, cookie.

5)
QualBoard® was the first bulletin board platform to make webcam responses easy with one-click streaming of webcam video directly to QualBoard®. Its easy for respondents and easy for moderators. Now researchers can see and hear respondents talk about products and experiences plus have the power of the fully-featured QualBoard® to probe and expand. Adding a few webcam questions not only provides valuable insights, webcam videos make undeniable points in a presentation.

7)If you're selling something, make sure you're selling the right thing. The Internet is a great tool for selling things, but there's a big gotcha. If you're trying to sell something that lots of other people are also trying to sell, you're facing competition two ways; first, it's going to be a lot harder to get noticed on the search engines, and second, the competition is going to eat away at the profits.

The real secret to making money on the net is to sell something that nobody else is selling. Even if the market is tiny and obscure, if you're the only maker, the net will bring you and your customers together. If you sell cowboy boots, you might have problems getting noticed, but if you specialize in cowboy boots for people with six toes, you'll make money. My favorite joke example of a niche is “hand tools for left-handed lesbians”. If yougoogle for that, many of the pages are blog articles referring to my article that used this as an example (the rest are spam; even spammers think it's a funny phrase).

Furthermore, if you're trying to make money with an affiliate program, in particular those that automatically generate a "virtual" website for you, you should know that in almost all cases, they are a waste of time and money. I've written an article, Virtual Vexation, that explains why. I get emails all the time from people who have wasted hundreds, even thousands of dollars on the schemes. Please do not be one of them. Google considers most of these pages to be spam, but I think in a lot of cases, that's a spelling error; the correct spelling is scam.

8)      Hotwire.com  sells hotels rooms ,package vacations. On espn.com you will find ads for cars, trucks and food, beer, sporting evants, and basketball shoes.

9)      ( Adweek.com) ( wdfm.com ) (ad-tech.com ) (IAB.com)
